Hilo International Airport occupies 1,391 acres about two miles east of Hilo, on the eastern shore of the island of Hawaii. The passenger terminal complex and commuter facilities, is accessible from Kekuanaoa Avenue, between the passenger terminal complex and the westwards crosswind runway.

Upon arrival, go to baggage claim. Once you have retrieved your baggage, walk out onto the sidewalk and the car rental agency booths are directly across the street from the main entrance to the airport terminal. Go to the booth bearing the name of the agency you have rented with to fill out your rental agreement.
Once the agreement is filled out, you walk around behind the rental agency booth and your car will be there waiting for you.
