The Tampa International Airport is set up in a spoke and hub fashion and is very compact and easy to get around. The terminals are color coded with Blue and Red leading to ground transportation. The rental counters are located on the First Floor across the walkway in the red and blue baggage claim areas.

The rental vehicles for Dollar, Enterprise, and Thrifty are in terminal and are only a short walk from the rental counters. For Alamo and National, a shuttle bus ride is required to reach the pick up lot. To reach the shuttle bus, you exit baggage claim to the “Limousine Pickup” area where the courtesy shuttle bus is scheduled to run every 5 minutes.

Tampa International Airport is located 7 miles northwest of downtown Tampa and is easily reached by I-75 from the north and south and by using I-4 from the east (Orlando). The terminal has many services including free wireless internet access, coffee shops, restaurants, bookstores, game & toy stores, and there is a Marriot hotel adjacent to the terminal.
