You’ll find all of the major rental car companies at Miami International Airport. The larger companies have counters on the ground level inside the baggage claim area.

All rentals at the Miami International Airport require a short ride via a courtesy shuttle bus to the off-site pick up lot. If your company has a counter in baggage claim, check in there first. After you have checked in, or if your company does not have a counter inside, simply go outside of the baggage claim terminal and hail the first courtesy shuttle representing your rental agency as they approach. The shuttle bus usually runs by every four or five minutes. You can finalize your rental agreement and pick up your car at the off-site lot.

When it comes time to return your rental, please note that again, there are no returns inside the airport. The rental car is returned near the airport in the “airport triangle” area. The return area is a bit congested and busy so please have the rental agency give you return directions at time of pick up.
